OTHER INFORMATION: Adrian Carter was admitted as a solicitor in April 1975. Adrian Carter started the firm of Adrian Carter & Co in Hailsham in 1980, his firm was part of the first merger in 1985 with Chas J Odhams and Coopers. Adrian Carter undertakes private client work for a wide variety of clients, in a number of areas of practice, but mainly concentrates on Conveyancing and Commercial matters. He became the Principal of Cooper Carter Claremont in 1999.

ROBERT HAMILTON

OTHER INFORMATION: Robert Hamilton was admitted as a solicitor in January 1982. Robert Hamilton heads a civil litigation department that acts for a wide variety of clients locally and nationally. His particular expertise in professional negligence means that he is retained by professional firms and by an increasing number of claimants. Robert Hamilton is dedicated to conducting matters in professional negligence, personal injury, medical negligence, contract disputes, employment and general civil litigation. He is a qualified rugby coach and is presently very much involved with rugby development at Hastings and Bexhill Rugby Club.

CAROLE ROOKE

She has conduct of a variety of matters including the preparation of wills and powers of attorney, the administration of taxable and non-taxable estates, the administration of trusts including appointment of trustees, and the management of general and financial affairs.

OTHER INFORMATION: Angela Ivaldi was admitted as a solicitor in August 1995 and joined Cooper Carter Claremont in January 2008.
Angela is a specialist Family Lawyer advising on divorce, separation, cohabitation, civil partnerships, children, care proceedings, adoption and matrimonial finances.
Angela and her team offer accurate legal and technical advice in a sympathetic friendly manner to achieve the best and fair results for individuals and their families. In her spare time Angela enjoys sailing and is a member of Eastbourne and Emsworth Sailing Clubs.

BARRIE COOPER

OTHER INFORMATION: Barrie Cooper was admitted as a solicitor in March 1960 and has practised in Hailsham for the last 40 years with the same firm – originally Coles and James, from 1982 Coopers, and then from 1990 Cooper Carter Claremont. On his retirement Mr Cooper decided he would like to stay with the firm on a consultancy basis to run a Tuesday weekly “wills workshop”, a decision that was welcomed by the firm. Barrie Cooper has a wealth of invaluable local knowledge after working within conveyancing for the past 40 years. He is a member, and former President, of the Hailsham Rotary Club and as the President of Hailsham Hockey Club, where he played for over 35 years. He is also on the Board of Hailsham Pavilion Limited.

RAY WELLS

OTHER INFORMATION: Ray Wells was admitted as a solicitor in June 1970. Between 1970 and 1995 Ray was both Assistant Solicitor and Partner in the firms of Claremont, Haynes & Co., Claremont and Co and Cooper Carter Claremont (which were successor firms to each other). Ray then took various long and short term locum positions thereby acquiring a very useful variety of experience, before returning to Cooper Carter Claremont in November 2004. Ray has long experience in General Legal Practice but in the past few years the emphasis of his work has been in the Commercial Property and Business fields.

 

Ola Peters

Ola Peters POSITION IN FIRM: Immigration Consultant
QUALIFICATIONS: LL.B (Hons)

OTHER INFORMATION: Ola Peters joined Cooper Carter Claremont in December 2007 and heads our Immigration Department which practises as CCClaw Immigration.
Ola is experienced in all aspects of Immigration law and offers assistance in a professional, friendly manner. Ola has in excess of 15 years experience within the Immigration field.
In his spare time Ola is a keen photographer and also carries out charitable work for his local church focusing on helping the youths in his local community.
