BUILDING DISPUTES
The Firm has considerable expertise in disputes in the Construction Industry, having handled many substantial cases successfully in recent years. We have access to experienced Counsel and also work closely with experts specialising in giving evidence and preparing reports in cases of this type.

BUSINESS DISPUTES
Our Litigation Department has established a reputation for advising businesses (whether Limited Companies, Partnerships or Sole Traders) concerning all manners of dispute. Where possible we involve ourselves at an early stage in trying to negotiate a compromise out of Court to avoid the need for expensive and protracted litigation before the Courts. However, in the event of Court Proceedings being inevitable we have a track record of success in Court.

CONTRACT DISPUTES
These are probably the most common examples of civil litigation coming before the Courts. The Firm is involved in a number of cases concerning contractual terms ranging from small consumer matters to major commercial litigation. We are able to offer considerable expertise in this field in both the prosecution and defence of such claims.

EMPLOYMENT
Increasing numbers of our clients require advice relating to their employment. The Firm is able to advise on the drafting up of employment contracts and all aspects of employment through to termination. We are able, in particular, to offer advice and assistance relating to claims regarding dismissal, redundancy and representation at the Employment Tribunal.

LANDLORD & TENANT
This firm has considerable experience in this area. If you are the Landlord we are able to advise on how to deal with defaulting tenants and how to regain possession of your property. If you are the tenant we can advise on your rights and obligations under the Tenancy Agreement or Lease. In addition, should we be unable to negotiate an agreement between the Landlord and Tenant which we would endeavour to do, then we have an excellent advocacy experience which allows us to achieve the desired result on behalf of our clients in Court.

PERSONAL INJURY
This Firm has considerable expertise in prosecuting claims for compensation arising out of accidents, whether at work, in road traffic accidents or even in medical accidents. The Head of the Litigation Department has 20 years experience in such cases. Public Funding (Legal Aid) in no longer generally available but we can offer other funding options including CFA (no win no fee) and legal expenses insurance. We have an impressive record in securing substantial compensation awards for our clients.

We are prepared to consider claims of this nature against firms of solicitors, surveyors, engineers etc. Funding options which may be available include CFA (no win no fee) and legal expenses insurance. We have conducted successfully many substantial cases of this type and are ale to offer considerable expertise in the field.

PROPERTY DISPUTES
This Firm has handled a number of cases of this type over the recent past, ranging from contractual disputes relating to the sale of land to disputes boundaries and rights of way. We do of course have a Property Department offering expertise in non-contentious work which offers valuable assistance and back-up in the course of such litigation.
